The Quail Diaries–MUSTARD!

Wild mustard (Brassica campestris) is an introduced plant whose seeds were thought to have been scattered by Franciscan Padres along the Camino Real to ensure that the road could be more easily be found.  This one is just blooming after the rains.  The quail love the flowers and leap into the air to eat them.  mustard
